Hurema ("we", "us", "our") is an HR management software platform operated by Hurema (hurema.in). We provide cloud-based human resources management tools including employee records, payroll, attendance, and leave management.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Hurema is the data controller in respect of personal data you provide directly to us (e.g., when you create an account or submit a contact form). When you use Hurema as an employer to manage your employees' data, you are the data controller and Hurema acts as the data processor governed by our Data Processing Addendum (DPA).

When you create a Hurema workspace, we collect your name, email address, organisation name, team size, and the password you create (stored as a salted hash we never store plaintext passwords).
When you use Hurema to manage your team, you submit data about your employees including names, contact details, employment details, salary information, attendance records, leave history, and performance data. This data is processed on your behalf as data processor under our DPA.
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use Hurema, including IP addresses, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent, and interaction events. This is used to improve the platform and diagnose issues.
If you contact us via the contact form or email, we retain a record of that correspondence including your name, email, and message content to provide support and improve our service.
If you use Hurema's biometric device integration, fingerprint templates and facial recognition data are processed and stored on the device locally. Hurema's cloud platform receives only attendance event records (employee ID + timestamp) not the raw biometric templates themselves.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users before any such transfer.

Hurema is a business software platform and is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Hurema's infrastructure is hosted on cloud services. Your data may be processed in data centres located in regions outside your country of residence. Where we transfer data across borders, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers outside the EEA, or equivalent mechanisms as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes by email (to the address associated with your account) and by posting a notice on the Hurema platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
